How we price website and software projects

Every project is quoted in writing after a short scope call. We don't publish a price list, because the honest answer depends on what you need. Here is what changes the quote.

What drives the cost

What a written proposal covers

We don't publish fixed terms, because they depend on the project. Every proposal sets out the following in writing, so nothing is left to assumption:

  • The scope: what will be built, and what will not.
  • The deliverables and how each one is reviewed and accepted.
  • The timeline and the stages it depends on.
  • The payment arrangements for the project.
  • Ownership and handover of the work.
  • Costs outside our work that you will pay separately: hosting, domain names, third-party licences and taxes.
  • Support and maintenance after launch, if you want it.

How we quote

  1. You send a short brief. We reply within one business day, subject to feasibility.
  2. We talk through the problem and what you want to achieve.
  3. We send a written scope and quote. You decide whether to go ahead.

Pricing questions

Why don't you publish prices?
Two projects that look alike on the surface can differ a lot underneath. A fixed number on a page would either be too low to be honest or too high to be fair, so we quote each project once we understand it.
Is the first conversation free?
Sending a brief and getting a reply costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Can you work to a budget?
Yes. Tell us your range when you contact us and we will say honestly what it can and cannot cover.
